Carlton Blase - CEO

At the helm of Print Art, Inc., Carl is the driving force behind the success of the company. With an unparalleled knowledge of the graphics arts industry and remarkable business insight, Carl provides a clear vision for the company and its future growth. His management style embraces a top-driven philosophy. He is deeply focused on Print Art’s culture that innovates from within and believes there is great potential in everyone.

A “get your hands dirty” kind of leader, Carl has over 30 years of experience in the printing industry with many years spent on the production side of printing. He is a true example of living the American dream: working for and believing in a company and the services they provided, working his way up the ranks to CEO. He’s a strong advocate of upper management leading by example and revels in getting into the nuts and bolts of things. His background includes training at Rochester Institute of Technology in addition to course studies in color management and benchmarking prepress. Earlier in his career, Carl was a board member for the Philadelphia School of Printing.

Carl prides himself on the philosophy of “keeping it local,” choosing his bank and insurance company for example, from those in the region. Print Art is growing and he wants Atlantic County to benefit from that growth. He is quite proud of the company’s strong history in Atlantic County for over 55 years. In October of 2011, the Greater Atlantic City Chamber and the NJ Governor’s office selected Print Art as the special event location for Governor Chris Christie’s “Conversation with Atlantic County Businesspeople” because of its fine reputation as one of the area’s successful manufacturing facilities.

Douglas Powell - CFO

Douglas Powell is the CFO and Corporate Secretary for Print Art Inc. He is responsible for overseeing the day to day administrative activity of the company.

Doug joined Print Art in 1997 as the Print Estimator after working for 14 years in the gaming industry. He held numerous positions during his tenure in the casino gaming industry including Analyst, Manager, and Purchasing Agent. During the past ten years at Print Art, Doug has taken on additional responsibilities with the company which have prepared him for his current position as Chief Financial Officer.

Frank Nardi - VP of Operations

Frank is known for his creative solutions and technical expertise. Starting as a graphic artist at Print Art, Inc. more than a decade ago, he worked his way up the management track. Today, he is Vice President of Operations, a well-suited position considering he has direct experience in many of the jobs he is now supervising. Experience includes, building and administrating the company’s Print MIS system, operations management and process improvement, marketing strategy and brand awareness, art direction, new business development and R&D.

Nardi was instrumental in Print Art, Inc. earning it’s FSC certification through the Rainforest Alliance. He oversaw the application, which required extensive audits and reporting. Working for a printer, it was important to Nardi that the company handled forest products, such as paper, responsibly, with minimal impact to the environment. He has also helped Print Art receive its G7 Master Printer Certification, a new standard in the industry and a designation held by only 500 Printers world wide.

Nardi is a graduate of Northampton College, with a degree in Advertising Design. A lifelong learner, he has taken the time to train in Rapport Leadership International.

Frank’s overall success is due in part to his education, his industry experience, his natural talent, drive, and passion.
