FTP FAQs
Q: I'm creating a password and nothing is happening.
A: You may have a browser plug-in that is preventing a pop-up window from telling you that passwords need to be at least 10 characters long. Increase the size of your password and you shouldn't have a problem creating an account.
Q: How long do you keep files on your FTP server?
A: We delete files that are older than 60 days. Please ensure that you keep copies of all uploaded files.
Q: Does Print Art have a preferred way to receive my files?
A: To speed up the uploading and downloading of your files, Print Art would
prefer to receive your files "zipped up" and compressed in an archived
format. You can do this with "file compression" software. We recommend
the following solutions.
For the PC:
Winzip
Winrar
Cam Unzip (free)
For the MAC:
Stuffit
MacZip (free)
Q: How private are my uploaded files?
A: Only you and Print Art can read your files. Folders and their contents are password protected from other visitors.
Q: Can Print Art archive/save some of my files?
A: If you give us prior notice we can archive artwork that you anticipate using again.
Q: What is the largest file I can upload?
A: We are set up to handle file sizes up to a 1.5 Gigabytes. If you have a larger file, let us know and we can raise our limit for you.
